UT level 1
The UT level 1 course consists of a theoretical part with the basic knowledge of ultrasonic testing and a practical part focused on:
- measuring wall thicknesses,
- examining castings and forgings,
- examining welds of simple geometry (weld in plate or pipe).
The level 1 person may carry out the test and report results under the supervision of a level 2 or 3 person on the basis of an unambiguous work instruction.
Training duration — 10 days + 2 days exam

When new to NDT, following the 'Introduction NDT' training is recommended but not required to participate in this course.
UT level 2
The UT level 2 course consists of a theoretical part that goes deeper into the theory than the level 1 course and a practical part aimed at:
- measuring wall thicknesses,
- examining castings and forgings,
- examining welds of simple and more complex geometry (weld in an angled joint, nozzle or tee),
- drafting a work instruction suitable for a level 1 person.
The level 2 person may independently carry out, report and assess the test on the basis of a procedure based on an applicable standard.
Training duration:
In possession of a level 1 certificate: 10 days + 2days exam
In possession of a level 2 WDCD certificate: 5 days + 2 days exam
Direct intake at level 2: 15 days + 2 days exam

UT WDCD level 2
The UT WDCD level 2 course is aimed at measuring wall thicknesses and detecting corrosion (WDCD stands for wall thickness measurement and corrosion detection) and consists of a theoretical part with the necessary ultrasonic knowledge for the WDCD application and a practical part focused on:
- measuring wall thicknesses on material without a coating
- measuring wall thicknesses on material with a coating
- detecting corrosion
- drafting a work instruction suitable for a level 1 person.
The level 2 WDCD person may independently carry out, report and assess the test on the basis of a procedure based on an applicable standard.
Training duration — 10 days + 2 days exam
